POSITION: MACHINE OPERATOR 

SHIFTS:

1st: 10 hour shift 6am to 4:30pm

2nd: 10 hour shift 4:30pm to 3am or 5am

No Experience needed, will train

DETAILS

1. Follows job, safety/environmental and inspection instructions per the Cell work instructions, CNC Trainer or Supervisor
2. Properly completes all paperwork, including production logs and quality checks
3. Prepares machine and gages for operation
4. Operates CNC machine and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications by utilizing gages
5. Produces quality work meeting company and customer standards
6. Produces an amount of work which meets or exceeds production standards
7. Performs offset adjustments
8. Follow tag procedure
9. Change inserts
10. Follow Housekeeping, Safety & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
11. Comply with all applicable requirements for the Quality and Environmental systems
12. Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping-submit to supervisor or HR Box.
13. Other duties as defined by your supervisor
14. Must be available for weekly overtime and weekend work.

Job Proficiency desired: 

1. Machine experience or trainable on CNC lathes mills, broaches.
2. Perform offset adjustments
3. Read and interpret gages proficiently such as; plug, snap, flush pin, go-no/go and calipers
4. Ability to effectively follow instructions, record data, and communicate with team members

POSITION: CNC Set-Up Technician

SHIFT:

1st: 6 am to 4:30 pm and 2nd: 4:30 pm – 3 or 5 am  M-F 8 hours on weekends when scheduled.

DETAILS:

1. Troubleshoot tooling, process concerns and chronic machine problems (Lathes and Mills)
2. Edit CNC programs
3. Test new products (tooling-carbide inserts and work holding)
4. Complete changeovers and repair maintenance activities (grinders/robots/broach/CNC)
5. Participate in problem solving
6. Housekeeping of tool room area
7. Cycle time reductions
8. Participate in APQP/PPAP process and implementation of new processes
9. Perform production set ups (chucks, collets, tool bars & read blueprints)
10. Reteach robots and assist Engineering in Automation of cells.
11. Assist with training for operators on machining & PM tasks (also New Hire Training if designated)
12. Follow Housekeeping, Safety & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
13. Comply with all applicable requirements for the Quality and Environmental Systems
14. Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping-submit to supervisor or HR Box

POSITION: Forklift Operator

SHIFT:

2nd: 4:30 pm – 3 or 5 am  M-F 8 hours on weekends when scheduled.

DETAILS:

1. Perform daily forklift inspection and maintenance, complete paperwork log
2. Move material throughout facility utilizing forklift (and crane, if applicable)
3. Ensure proper storage of dunnage and organization of container area
4. Ensure rotation of all production part inventories (First in, First out)
5. As directed, pick up supplies for Tool Crib from Building 1
6. Perform as a service department for all machine operators
7. Maintain department per Lay out
8. Empty chip hoppers and sweep up area around scrap metal containers. Clean behind and under the roll-off hoppers during removal/replacement. Keep parking lot clean.
9. Maintain a good driving record and operate equipment in accordance with all safety regulations
10. Shipping and Receiving duties. As directed, perform daily inventory counts of finished inventory & outside processing.
11. Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
12. Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping
13. Comply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental policies

POSITION: Maintenance Technician (Maintenance II)

SHIFT:

1st: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F and 2nd: 4:30 pm to 3 or 5 am – 8 hours when scheduled on weekends

POSITION: Lab Technician / CMM

SHIFTS:

1st: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm  

2nd: 4:30 pm – 4:00 am

DETAILS:

1. Write CMM programs for new program launches based on customer specifications provided by MPM engineering department using Ziess Calypso.
2. Work with Engineering and Set-up department to verify that parts meet customer specifications on new program launches.
3. Perform CMM or technical layout inspection on all parts as required.
4. Maintain Q # Log for all complete part inspections.
5. Ensure first piece approval (FPA) parts are completed in a timely manner.
6. Organize the Lab and insist Lab housekeeping is maintained.
7. File all Quality documents in assigned area. Files need to be organized and labeled.
8. Perform LPA’s and assist with final audits, gage R&R studies and gage calibration.
9. Setup gauging as required.
10. Participate in quality problem solving, corrective actions and provide support to other departments.
11. Communicate internal quality information between shifts.
12. Communicate line-up from QA supervisor to nightshift personnel.
13. Oversee completion of all assigned afternoon shift tasks.
14. Report shift activities to QA supervisor.
15. Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)
16. Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping
17. Comply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental polices

NOTE:  This position will train on a split shift. 

            CNC machining experience preferred. 

POSITION: Engineering Technician

SHIFTS:

1st: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

DETAILS:
1. Troubleshoot tooling, process concerns and chronic machine problems. Time split between floor and office.
2. Edit CNC programs and perform production set ups.
3. Troubleshoot electrical and electronic problems, perform PLC implementation & PLC program management.
4. Conduct studies and record operations for such factors as time, motion, method and speed to improve efficiency or establish standard production rates.
5. Conduct tool life studies and assist in analysis of information per Engineers.
6. Conduct tool life studies and assist in analysis of information per Engineers.
7.  Help implement new and enhanced tool process tools.
8. Make or modify machine parts and gauging.
9. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
10. Assist in conducting capability studies and ROI analysis.
11. Participates in evaluation and selection of products for new and current processes.
12. Lead or assist with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvements (CI).
13. Identify CI opportunities and participate in problem solving teams.
14.  Participate in APQP/PPAP process and implementation of new processes.

POSITION: Shift Supervisor 

Summary:  Oversees daily machining operations on 2nd shift, ensuring that CNC equipment runs efficiently, safely, and to precise specifications. Coordinate production schedules, supervise machinists, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement to meet productivity and cost targets. Safety First! 1st Shift Schedule: 5:30am to 5pm 2nd Shift Schedule: 4pm to 3am or 4am overlap with first shift for updates.

DETAILS:

1. Responsible for scheduling/assigning operators job placements.
2. Maintain housekeeping of shop floor.
3. Responsible to set priorities for Set-up or Maintenance Technicians and perform necessary tasks to eliminate downtime.
4. Coordinate with CNC Trainer and participate in Operator Training.
5. Ensure compliance by all employees to MPM policies and procedures.
6. Responsible to confirm that all operators are getting proper support and service from other departments.
7. Through put (running to standard rates).
8. Quality (compliance to all customer specifications).
9. Responsible to provide employee positive feedback and disciplinary actions as necessary.
10. Interaction with customer, suppliers and vendors as needed.
11. Responsible to complete evaluation criteria for job bids and performance evaluations.
12. Comply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental policies.
13. Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs).
14. Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeeping.

POSITION: General Maintenance Technician
